Since our inception, Dirigo Collective has embarked on a mission to serve media clients ​with a steadfast vision: to transform businesses into beacons of positive change. Our ​foundational goal has been to guide our clients and partners toward success that not ​only achieves commercial objectives but also fosters a regenerative and equitable world. ​Throughout our journey, our 'why' has remained unwavering, even as we reimagined our ​'how' in the dynamic landscape of 2023.


A Year of Growth and Transformation

2023 was a pivotal year, witnessing significant adaptations and ​growth in the marketing and media industry. Key discussions ​around greenwashing and greenhushing, the growing importance ​of value-led consumer journeys, and the integration of AI and new ​technologies defined our year. These developments led to a ​strategic reexamination of our roadmap and a reaffirmation of our ​commitment to impactful business practices.


Evolving Beyond a Media Agency

Prior to 2023, Dirigo Collective, was a proud B Corp and a member of ​1% for the Planet. However, this year marked a significant expansion ​in our approach to impact. We broadened our service offerings to ​better utilize our capabilities and solidified our role as a holistic ​partner for our clients. This evolution meant transitioning from being a ​media agency with a B Corp certification to embodying a fully ​integrated consultancy in sustainability and impact.

As a culmination of our transformation, we reintroduced ourselves as Campfire Consulting.

As business founders, we are not always encouraged to rethink. More often than not, founders are touted for their conviction and unwavering commitment to their ideas. But if we take a moment to re-examine the successful businesses around us we’ll find that many of them began as something else entirely.


Our journey as Dirigo Collective, a name inspired by the Latin for ‘I lead’ and a nod to Maine’s state flag, and the idea that strength comes from unity, has evolved. Our new identity represents the breadth of our work beyond paid media consulting, embracing impact consulting, content development, and strategic ideas that span various industries.


Our team structure and service framework has changed. I’m proud to surround myself with a team that encourages me to reimagine what it means to be an impact-led consultancy and who encourages me to level up the way we show up in our local community, and in our larger ecosystem.

This helps us better understand and reduce impacts across both digital and ​traditional media channels.
